Novation Wavetable Editor for Peak & Summit

Here’s my first look at the brand new Wavetable Editor from Novation which allows you to create your own wavetables and upload them to a Peak or Summit synthesiser.

I was very fortunate to get my hands on the new firmware and software ahead of its release, and to try my hand at creating my own wavetables and uploading them to my Peak synthesiser. The new wavetable editor developed by Novation has a number of tools for drawing waveforms, all of them are exceedingly useful and very easy to use. But for me the biggest advantage of the new editor is its ability to import wavetable waveforms from a sound file in either WAV or MP3 format. All round this new capability breaths new life to both the Peak and Summit and keeps them very relevant in a synth market where wavetable synthesis is becoming increasingly popular.
